The project consists of casually released demos and collaborations with internet friends facilitated over Facebook Messenger. Memo Boy’s retirement coincided with Otto's graduation from high school and the 2017 mass-layoffs at SoundCloud, Memo Boy’s fictional place of work. Otto continues to release music as Otto Benson and OTTO. .
